Gav is the CEO, lead engineer, and driving force behind AviTech NZ. With a background that includes an aircraft engineering apprenticeship at Air New Zealand and a year as the base engineer at Scott Base in Antarctica, Gavin brings decades of hands-on expertise to bird control innovation.
For over a decade, Gavin has dedicated himself to designing, manufacturing, and distributing cutting-edge bird control solutions. He got his start in pest control early, spending school holidays tackling rabbit problems on Canterbury farms, continuing a legacy as a third-generation pest controller. His approach blends practical field experience, eco-conscious design, and technical ingenuity, including securing his first patent in 2016.
